The Dutchman is currently plying his trade for Willem II.
Willem II have found themselves a gem this season, after snapping up Mitchell Dijks from Ajax in the summer.
The 22-year-old has gone on to impress in Tilburg, so much so he has attracted suitors for his services.
One of the teams said to be keen is Celtic.
The Scotsman linked Celtic with a £900k move for the Dutch left-back at the start of the month. Dijks, who can also play at centre-back, has played 27 times in Eredivisie this season and has impressed for the club, so there is little wonder Celtic are so keen.
Dijks would be an excellent signing for Celtic, and an approach has been confirmed for the player. Dijks himself told Voetbal that Celtic have made an approach for his services for next season.
However Celtic are not alone in their pursuit. Dutch side Feyenoord are also believed to be keen on the player and appear to have caught up with Celtic in their pursuit.
It is reported by Voetbal International today that the Rotterdam club have spoken to Dijks and his agent about a move. The report claims that Feyenoord technical director Martin van Geel spoke to Dijks last week about a potential switch to De Kuip.
Celtic will certainly have a battle on their hands to snap up this man in the summer.
