Societe Generale has named Alexandre Courbon head of French mergers and acquisitions and said Hubert Preschez will assume responsibility for global relations with large French companies.

Bloomberg News reports that the bank also named Jean-Baptiste Giros and Alexis Le Touze co-heads of equity capital markets for France, Belgium and Luxembourg starting June 1, the company said in a statement Tuesday.

Giros was previously a managing director in that group, while Le Touze oversaw strategic investment solutions for Societe Generale’s private-banking business.

In the meantime, Bloomberg also reports that UBS has said that Gareth Berry, a Singapore-based foreign-exchange strategist, has resigned.
