BNP Paribas’s head of high-yield credit trading for Europe, the Middle East and Africa has left the firm, according to a person with knowledge of the matter.
Bloomberg News reports that Peter Kaufmann was based in London, said the person, who’s not authorized to talk about it and asked not to be identified.
Kaufmann joined BNP Paribas in October 2013, according to his registration with the U.K.’s Financial Conduct Authority. He previously held roles at UBS and Credit Suisse, FCA data show.
In the meantime, Bloomberg News also reports that Credit Suisse is hiring Deutsche Bank credit-default swaps trader Peter Ragosa.
Deutsche Bank has been scaling back parts of its credit-trading operations as it as it seeks to address regulations that have made the business more expensive.
