Liverpool defender Lloyd Jones has taken to social networking site Twitter to announce that he has signed a new contract with the club.
The centre-back joined the Reds from Plymouth for the 2011-12 campaign, during which he was a regular in the Under-16 squad.
Jones’s progress in the Liverpool youth teams in the subsequent years was hugely impressive, and he was named on the substitutes' bench for the first time when the senior side travelled to face Fulham in the Premier League in May 2013.
The England Under-20 international has now signed a new two-year with the club and has committed his immediate future to the Merseyside outfit.

Jones has yet to make an appearance in the Premier League for Liverpool, but one suspects that he will get his chance sooner rather than later.
The 19-year-old is a promising centre-back, and perhaps manager Brendan Rodgers will give him some chances next season.
