France have announced their squad for the Under-20 Toulon Youth Festival this summer.
Every summer, the Toulon Youth Festival in France is a chance to see some of the best upcoming talents around the world, and France have on Wednesday announced the squad that will try and follow in the footsteps of Chelsea target (per the Telegraph) Gianelli Imbula this summer.
The Marseille midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge and it was only in 2013 that his superb talent was part of the France squad that finished third that year. He did so beside the likes of Layvin Kurzawa of Monaco, Lyon’s Jordan Ferri and Valentin Eysseric of Nice and now, coach Francis Smerecki has named his 20-man squad for 2015.
It is a fairly inexperienced side compared to other years, but there are players represented from some of France’s top teams. Presnel Kimpembe of PSG has barely featured in the first-team this season, but is highly regarded.
Stephane Sparagna, Fares Bahlouli, Yann Bodiger and Thomas Lemar have all played some minutes in France’s top-flight and forwards Enzo Crivelli and Wesley Said have enjoyed blossoming reputations for a number of years.
This is their first chance to go and show they are serious prospects, and no doubt you will see some of these names again soon.
