Sad to report.

A former Goldman Sachs investment banker has died from what has been described as a blow to the head during a fight at an Indianapolis jazz club Friday night.

The Daily Mail reports that according to police, 31-year-old Michael Lanter was discovered unresponsive on the floor of the Chatterbox Tavern in the 400 block of Massachusetts Avenue following a physical altercation with another customer.

Lanter, of Chicago, was revived by paramedics and taken to University of Indiana Health Methodist Hospital where he died a short time later.

Investigators are now trying to determine whether Lanter's death was caused by being struck by someone, or whether he sustained a fatal injury when he fell and hit his head.
