Arsenal reportedly open talks with Chelsea regarding £10m Petr Cech move

Emirates Inside

A Chelsea player could be on his way to Arsenal this summer.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Arsenal have already opened talks about the possibility of signing Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech this summer.

The report claims the Gunners made enquiries as to whether the 33-year-old would be interested in a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

With the player allegedly keen on the switch, Arsenal have now opened talks with Chelsea, with a view to making a bid in the region of £10million.

Cech has seen himself drop down the Stamford Bridge pecking order since Thibaut Courtois returned from his prolonged loan spell at Atletico Madrid.

The Czech Republic international has featured just 15 times for Chelsea in all competitions this season and given his experience and innate talent he would be a wonderful addition to Arsenal’s squad if they could sign him.

Arsenal already have Wojciech Szczesny and David Ospina on their books but Cech remains one of the most highly-rated ‘keepers in Europe and it makes sense if Arsene Wenger is interested in a player of his calibre.
