Tottenham Hotspur have been linked once again with signing Marc Bartra, as reported by Spanish newspaper Sport.
The Barcelona defender is available for just 10 million Euros this summer thanks to a clause in his contract being activated after not playing the required number of games.
He is a player Spurs fans are likely to have seen play, even if they cannot instantly place it.
Bartra was the defender who was left trailing in former Tottenham star Gareth Bale's wake as he scored a terrific Copa del Rey final 12 months ago.
Bartra has made 10 starts in La Liga this season, a figure which could have been even less if former Arsenal captain Thomas Vermaelen had been fit.
Tottenham made a bid for Bartra before he signed a new contract, Sport reported, and could look to revisit their interest due to his cut-price availability.
A fresh start may be what he needs, although if he makes the switch to England he may well hope that rumours of Gareth Bale making a return to the Premier League prove to be unfounded.
