Ezequiel Lavezzi has been linked with a surprise move from PSG to Tottenham by Italian website Tuttomercatoweb.
Claiming an exclusive, the report states contacts have been made between the two parties, and that a deal 'can take off' over the coming days.
The Argentine international would join compatriots Erik Lamela and Federico Fazio at the club, playing under head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
He is just coming off the back of another PSG title triumph, his third successive league win with the club.
Lavezzi recently turned 30, but has just one year remaining on his PSG contract. The former Napoli man could well be on the move this summer for this reason should the French champions look to cash in.
This season he netted nine goals in all competitions and provided eight assists, while the previous season he scored 12 times and created seven.
The winger has 35 caps for Argentina, providing two assists at the World Cup last summer, but has not scored for his country since 2013.
Tottenham fans have met the news with scepticism, doubtful whether Lavezzi is the right player for the club, or whether the deal has a chance of coming to fruition.
Here is a look at how they responded on Twitter...

Lavezzi to Spurs? Yeah, sure, why not? Maybe they can throw in Verrati and Ibra as well.— kidiabasponytail (@KidiabaPonyTail) May 19, 2015
