HITC Sport understands St Mirren goalkeeper Mark Ridgers is being chased by a number of clubs in Scotland and England.

HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club that St Mirren goalkeeper Mark Ridgers is a target for a number of clubs in Scotland and England this summer.

Ridgers has been a stand-out performer for St Mirren this season despite the Paisley club suffering relegation from the Scottish Premiership.

The 24-year-old has established himself as No.1 keeper at St Mirren since arriving last summer and has been a regular in the side since November after winning his battle with Marian Kello to be first-choice shot-stopper.

Ridgers' form for St Mirren has not gone unnoticed, with several top-flight sides in his homeland keeping tabs on his situation, while the likes of Rotherham United and Barnsley are tracking the Scotland Under 21 international as they look to bolster their goalkeeping options this summer.

St Mirren are bracing themselves for offers for Ridgers this summer in the wake of their relegation and they are unlikely to stand in the former Hearts goalkeeper's way if they receive a suitable offer.
