Wijnaldum has been linked with a transfer to Liverpool and Newcastle this summer.
Speaking to SoccerNews in the Netherlands, 24-year-old PSV captain Wijnaldum has admitted that he could be looking to leave this summer, with clubs keen on signing him.
The attacking midfielder said: “It could be that I leave this summer. This award shows that you have been well over a whole season. There clubs will look at me. But at this moment everything is still open for me.”
These comments should delight Liverpool and Newcastle fans, with Wijnaldum linked with a transfer to the Premier League duo in the summer.
Wijanldum captained PSV to the Eredivisie title this season, the same PSV side in which Memphis Depay was a star of.
Playing just behind the now-Manchester United man, Wijnaldum netted 14 goals and registered four assists in 33 league games, truly impressing as leader of the team, despite his young age.
It is expected that Wijnaldum will continue to improve, and having already impressed greatly in his native domestic league, he sounds excited to test himself abroad - with England a likely destination due to the interest in him.
The midfielder - who can also play in a wide attacking position - still has three years left on his contract at PSV, but if he is keen on securing a move away, he may force a transfer - meaning he should be available on a cut-price deal.
