Former Leeds United loanee Zoumana Camara is celebrating being a champion.

The veteran centre-back joined in PSG's title triumph after they clinched the Ligue 1 crown for a third successive year.

Camara, 36, has been used as a back-up for PSG this year, but made five starts in the league and a further seven substitute appearances.

The defender played for Leeds during their 2003/04 relegation season, signed from Lens, and scoring once.

He has been at PSG since 2007, and now won eight trophies for them.

It is currently unclear if he plans to retire or continue playing with his contract up at the end of the season, but France Football report today that Camara could be a choice to work under Claude Makelele as PSG boss should they replace Laurent Blanc.

Leonardo Pavoletti price tag set

Over to Italy and a player frequently linked with a move to Leeds United appears destined to sign elsewhere.

Leonardo Pavoletti has been in superb form over the past month with Genoa, scoring four times in five games for his loan side.

Italian website Tuttomercato report Genoa have been told by Sassuolo that Pavoletti will cost €4 million, but they are attempting to negotiate a cheaper price.

The Yorkshire Evening Post had tipped Pavoletti for a January loan move to Leeds after he was flown over to the club to watch a game, only for him to opt to remain in Italy instead.

The high price being demanded for his signature may make his permanent switch to Genoa more difficult, but it is also likely to elevate him out of Leeds' price range too.
