The Arsenal players have been training today ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League clash against Sunderland at home.
The Gunners will head into the game at the Emirates Stadium in North London on the back of a 1-1 draw with Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford.
Arsene Wenger’s side have not won in their last two league matches and will be determined to pick up all three points against the relegation-threatened Black Cats.
Among the Arsenal players in today’s training was Laurent Koscielny, despite the fact that he is suffering with the flu.
TalkSPORT quoted Wenger as saying this morning that the France international defender is doubtful for the game.
“We have an uncertainty about Koscielny,” said the Frenchman. “He has the flu.”
It appears that Koscielny does have a chance of playing tomorrow, or else he would not be training.
The 29-year-old is arguably the best centre-back in the current Arsenal squad, and his presence in the starting line-up will enhance their chances of winning against Sunderland.
The former Lorient star has scored three goals and created two chances in 26 Premier League this season.
Koscielny has a pass accuracy of 88% and a shot accuracy of 57%, and he has won 78 headers, seven dribbles and 23 tackles.
