Tottenham Hotspur winger Erik Lamela has told the club’s official website that he is determined to keep on improving.
The Argentina international has recently come into good form and has been playing well, creating 10 chances in his last three Premier League appearances.
Lamela gave a good account of himself in Spurs’ final home game of the season on Saturday, working hard and setting up a goal in their 2-0 victory over Hull City at White Hart Lane in the Premier League.
The former AS Roma star, though, insists that he plans to improve and raise his game further, telling the club’s official website: “I’m also happy with my form but I know I need to keep going and try to improve.”
Lamela has been a frustratingly inconsistent figure since joining Tottenham from Roma in the summer of 2013.
While injuries played a major role in the 23-year-old winger’s struggles in the Premier League last season, this term he has often failed to step up in key matches.
However, it will be encouraging for Tottenham fans that Lamela is ending the season strongly and is determined to improve.
The former River Plate star is reportedly among the players Spurs are ready to sell in the summer transfer window, with The Mirror claiming last month that the North London outfit will “consider realistic bids” for the Argentine.
Perhaps Tottenham should hold on to Lamela for one more season.
