Gallery: Berahino stars as Costa stirs things up in West Brom's win over Chelsea

West Brom - The Hawthorns

West Brom hammered the newly crowned Champions at The Hawthorns in a feisty encounter, but Jose Mourinho won't lose any sleep over it.

Luckily for Chelsea last night didn't really count for anything in the context of their season, if it did the consequences of last night will have made plenty of the back pages.

But instead, with the title wrapped up, and the title safe, Jose Mourinho will not be losing much sleep after losing 3-0 to an inspired West Bromwich Albion side at The Hawthorns, with Tony Pulis's side claiming another big scalp towards the end of the season - having recently stunned Manchester United by winning at Old Trafford just two weeks before.

Saido Berahino opened the scoring in the opening exchanges with a wonderful 25-yard strike and there was plenty of edge to the game - which was mainly brought about because of the feisty Diego Costa.

After a heated exchange involving the returning forward, Cesc Fabregas was bizarrely sent off for kicking a ball at Chris Brunt, which raised the atmosphere level somewhat.

The second half began much like the first with Berahino getting himself on the scoresheet again, this time with a penalty after being brought down by John Terry - while Brunt lashed home a third on the hour mark.

The newly crowned champions enjoyed much of the play thereafter but failed to make the impression they would have liked, though not many sporting the colours of Chelsea cared so much, while Baggies fans were pleased with what they saw for their final home game of the campaign.
