The first two winners have joined the rest of the invited teams for this year’s International Dota 2 tournament in Seattle, USA.

Since the qualifying rounds began last week, twenty teams have battled it out in the Americas and Southeast Asia regional tournaments for the chance at a winning a spot in the final rounds of the Dota 2 International 2014.

The Americas regional qualifiers saw teams like Team Liquid, eHug, and Osiris Gaming going head-to-head in an effort to win themselves a place with the other teams, who were invited to the tournament. The winners of the Americas qualifiers were NAR (North American Rejects), who played against Team Liquid, beating them three matches to two. As Team Liquid are the runners up, they’ll be set to take part in the Play-In Series with the runners up of the other regional qualifiers, giving them a chance to join the rest of the teams for a crack at winning this year’s International.

The Southeast Asia qualifiers had the likes of Neolution Orange and Arrow Gaming in attendance, with Arrow Gaming winning the event overall, leaving MVP Phoenix as runners up. The final match-up saw Arrow coming out triumphant over MVP by three matches to one.

The below screenshot is taken from Dota 2’s website, and shows how things stand right now. The regional qualifiers for China begin tomorrow, with the European’s battling it out from 24 May. We’ll bring you the news of the winners as and when they’re announced.
