Aston Villa fans react on Twitter to Scott Sinclair signing permanent deal

Scott Sinclair will be staying at Aston Villa after signing a four-year deal with the club.

Aston Villa have confirmed on their official website that Manchester City winger Scott Sinclair has signed a permanent deal with the club.

Sinclair, 26, had been on the fringes of the City side ever since joining the club from Swansea City in 2012, and in search of first team football, the former Chelsea starlet joined Villa on loan.

So far, Sinclair has made 11 appearances for Villa, scoring three goals for the club - but has played just 23 minutes in the last two months, having encountered injury problems and a change in system from Tim Sherwood, who has recently been playing a narrow midfield diamond.

That has meant no room for wingers, yet despite, Villa have now confirmed the permanent signing of Sinclair, who has penned a four-year deal with the club.

"I am so happy," said Sinclair. "We've had a fantastic end to the current season - and now I am already looking forward to the new season starting," he added.

The Daily Mail have reported that the fee is just £2.5m, and Villa fans have been reacting on Twitter ever since the deal was announced earlier this evening.

The feeling is virtually unanimous, with fans believing that the deal is a bargain for Villa, and supporters hope that he can kick on next season after Villa guaranteed their Premier League status.
