Defrel looks set to move to England this summer, amid interest from Tottenham and West Ham.
The agent said: “There are many teams on him. There is Italian, but recently even English and German clubs. But we will wait the end of the season and especially the last auction of Parma, since the player is co-owned between the two clubs.”
Defrel currently turns out for Cesena, and it is with the Serie A club that he has netted nine goals and registered six assists in 32 games.
However, he is co-owned by Parma, and as their ownership is currently for sale, there are no guarantees concerning his future as of yet.
The 23-year-old forward, who plays generally as a winger or second striker, has been earning impressive reviews due to his strong form, and that has seen interest in him from England.
Calcionews24 linked Defrel with West Ham and Spurs earlier in the season, and with his agent now confirming interest, it would come as no surprise to see the Premier League duo submit a formal offer for him this summer.
Cessna are clearly keen on holding onto their prize asset, but Defrel himself looks to be pushing for a move away amid the Premier League interest.
However, his agent has admitted that no decision will be made on the talent attacker’s future until the last auction concerning Parma’s ownership is over. As per Gianluca Di Marzio, the club have gone through their third auction without a buyer being found, and the next sale is to take place on May 22nd, with the price lowered by a further 25%.
Should no buyer be found, the club will likely dissolve, opening up the possibility of Defrel being available for a cut-price fee with his contract partly in ruins.
