HITC Sport understands Sheffield United and Swindon Town are chasing highly-rated Northern Ireland hot-shot Ross Clarke.
HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club that Sheffield United and Swindon Town are planning bids for Linfield winger Ross Clarke.
Clarke has been earning rave reviews this season with a number of eye-catching displays for Linfield in the Northern Ireland Premiership.
Scouts from clubs in England have cast their eye over Clarke by making several trips to Windsor Park to monitor his progress.
Linfield boss and former Northern Ireland international Warren Feeney admitted two months ago that a number of clubs from England had made enquiries about Clarke.
"There has been some interest in him and I've taken a few phone calls about the lad, but I think Ross is at the right club now," said Feeney.
"He can continue to have a good career at Linfield and if the enquiries turn into offers then we will look at them."
Peterborough were thought to be leading the chase for Clarke, but now Sheffield United and Swindon Town have joined the queue for the skilful winger.
Linfield are bracing themselves for offers for Clarke and they are unlikely to stand in his way if they receive a suitable offer for the 22-year-old.
