Former Nottingham Forest striker Robert Earnshaw has taken to social networking site Twitter to congratulate Chelsea-owned Middlesbrough youngster Patrick Bamford on a successful season.
Bamford has been a revelation in the Championship this campaign and has been one of the best young players in the division.
in 39 Championship appearances, the 21-year-old has scored 16 goals and 28 chances, taking Boro to the brink of promotion to the Premier League in the process.
The former Forest forward has a pass accuracy of 71% and a shot accuracy of 51%, and he has won 36 headers, 17 dribbles and 12 tackles.
Middlesbrough will face Norwich City in the Championship playoff final at London’s Wembley Stadium next week, and Earnshaw, now at the Vancouver Whitecaps, hopes that Bamford gets the job done.

Bamford joined Middlesbrough on loan from Premier League giants Chelsea in the summer of 2014 and is scheduled to return to the Blues at the end of the season.
It will be interesting to see if the England Under-21 international forward is drafted into the Chelsea first team for the 2015-16 campaign.
