Report: Tottenham Hotspur's Dele Alli wanted by Birmingham City

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli is reportedly attracting the attentions of Birmingham City.

According to MK Web, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli could move to Birmingham City next season.

Alli joined Spurs from MK Dons in January for a fee that the BBC valued at £5 million and it is thought that the Premier League side could look to loan him out next term.

Alli is still only 19 years old and Tottenham will be keen for him to get regular competitive football to aid his development.

Giving him the opportunities required at White Hart Lane could be tough and Birmingham are reportedly hoping that Mauricio Pochettino can be persuaded to allow Alli to move to the Championship.

The central midfielder has torn apart League One this term, while with MK, and he looks ready to make the step up to a higher level.

If Birmingham could sign him he would be a major coup for them, but Tottenham may opt to keep him in their first team.

Spurs have given a number of young players a chance this season and it remains to be seen whether Pochettino feels that Alli is already capable of performing in their starting line-up.
