Song has impressed while on loan at West Ham from Barcelona this season and the London club are expected to try and make his stay a permanent one at the next available opportunity.
Doing so could be difficult, though, as competition for his signature is hotting up and Milan are the latest team to reportedly join the hunt for the central midfielder.
The Italian giants apparently believe that Song would enhance the quality of their squad considerably and they intend to rival West Ham for the midfielder.
It could be a tempting move for Song, as Milan's history makes them an attractive club to join - even if they haven't experienced much success in recent times.
It would be a blow for the Premier League side, as the Hammers realise that keeping Song, who has made 30 appearances for them this campaign, at the Boleyn Ground will be important to their chances next season.
The Cameroon international has been pivotal for them so far this season and they will find it hard to replace someone of his quality, if he does sign for another side.
