Rangers fans were full of praise for forward Haris Vuckic after his display against Queen of the South.

Rangers booked their place in the semi-finals of the Scottish Championship play-offs after a 1-1 draw against Queen of the South on Sunday.

Stuart McCall's men beat Queen of the South 2-1 in the away leg last weekend, but were handed a scare at Ibrox in the second leg.

Derek Lyle opened the scoring for Queen of the South in the first half, and it looked like the game would be heading to extra time - until Lee Wallace popped up to turn the ball home from close range and give Rangers a 1-1 draw, meaning they went through 3-2 on aggregate.

A semi-final matchup with Hibernian is now on the horizon for Rangers, but they wouldn't be there without Newcastle loanee Haris Vuckic.

The Slovenian has earned plenty of plaudits for his attacking play since joining from the Magpies in February, scoring nine goals in 15 games for Rangers.

Yet against Queen of the South, it was his defensive work which grabbed the headlines, having contributed two vital goal line clearances to send Rangers through.

Coupled with his impressive play in the final third, Rangers fans were again raving about Vuckic on Twitter, with many hoping that he will stay with the club next season, whilst one fan even compared him to former Rangers hero Jorg Albertz!

Here are some of the reactions from Rangers fans after Vuckic's performance against Queen of the South on Sunday...
