Morgan Stanley named John Esposito as global co-head of the financial institutions banking group to succeed Jonathan Pruzan, who was named chief financial officer in March.

Bloomberg News reports that Esposito will join Eric Bischof and William Chalmers in running the unit that advises financial firms on mergers and capital raises, according to a memo obtained Friday by Bloomberg.

Esposito has led the team in the Americas since 2010, according to the memo from investment banking co-heads Mark Eichorn and Franck Petitgas.

In the meantime, Reuters reports that Christina Park, a banker in leveraged finance at Barclays is leaving for Nomura Holdings in the United States, according to people familiar with the matter.

Park, a Managing Director, worked on the Americas leveraged finance team at Barclays for the past four years. She rejoined the bank in 2011 to cover technology clients. She has also worked at CitiGroup and Lehman Brothers and has 13 years of experience, according to her LinkedIn page.
