Sheffield Wednesday are set to make a number of changes to their team over the summer.
Semedo's current deal expires in the near future, but the Portuguese-born player has implied that he will sign an extension.
The combative central midfielder says that he is already preparing for next season when he will be raring to go, and his tweet seems to suggest he will be aiming to guide the Owls to the Premier League.
Looking forward to next season. Already gearing up. My holiday is gonna be spent on the treadmill. #swfc love it! Will work hard!!— José Semedo (@JVSemedo) May 17, 2015
Semedo's future at Wednesday has been up in the air, as Stuart Gray has been so ruthless with his transfer activity already.
The Yorkshire side released 11 senior players earlier this month and it was suggested in the Sheffield Star that Semedo could be in line to follow them out the door.
However, it seems that he may have been offered a new contract and an announcement of his commitment could be made soon, if his tweet is anything to go by.
If Semedo does stay on at Wednesday, he will bring energy and power to their central-midfield ranks and he will be hoping to keep his place in the team, with Wednesday likely to add more quality in the coming months.
