Spanish football pundit Guillem Balague has told SkySports that David de Gea has not agreed any switch away from Manchester United.
Balague has refuted this, but stated that star man David de Gea's decision is far from clear cut.
He said: "He has not committed himself as has been published in the Spanish media. He hasn’t signed anything with Real Madrid but he has got a decision to make."
The pundit went onto claim that United have offered him a substantial new contract.
He added: "On the table, there is an offer from Manchester United which increases his wages by five times and he will not earn as much money at Real Madrid.
“The money is an issue but he also has to make a decision that also is to do with personal interests – his family is not there all the time and his girlfriend would love to be in Madrid more than in England."
De Gea currently has a contract with Manchester United until 2016, and the Red Devils will be desperate to get him to commit to the club.
The goalkeeper has been crucial to the club finishing in the top four this season, currently five points above rivals Liverpool with one game to go.
Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal was honest when asked about De Gea after the draw with Arsenal, speaking to the BBC admitting the player must make a decision on his future.
As Balague suggests, his decision will be about more than money, but at United he will know he has a platform where he can be successful and achieve international recognition with Spain.
