Arsenal prospect and recent Nottingham Forest loanee Chuba Akpom is still adjusting to the ascent to the first team.
Chuba Akpom admits he is still pinching himself when he gets a chance to train and play alongside the first team stars.
Speaking about help he receives from Tomas Rosicky, he lauded the Czech midfielder along with the club's record signing Mesut Ozil.
Akpom said: "When I look around and see the likes of him and Mesut Ozil, well these are people you play on Fifa with, that you watch on TV, so for me to be in the changing room with them... it’s amazing. It really feels like I have come a long way."
Discussing Rosicky in particular, Akpom added: "He knows what he is talking about, he’s world class so it’s great to learn from these types of players."
The Czech midfielder is however expected to leave the club this summer. His contract is due to expire in June and he has not yet been offered a new deal.
Rosicky has barely featured this season, making only five Premier League starts, and at 34-years-old it's a big drop off from the 17 he made in 2013/14.
Akpom's comments display the positive influence he is able to impart, but if the midfielder wants to prolong his career he is likely to have to be planning to do so away from Arsenal next season.
As for the England youth striker himself, Akpom is coming off a disappointing loan spell at Championship side Nottingham Forest and is going to have to hit the ground running in pre-season in order to force his way into the Arsenal first team next season.
