A round up of news stories this morning related to Arsenal.
Wenger oversaw his side secure a point against Manchester United yesterday with a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.
The Gunners will be looking to avoid having to play a Champions League qualifying match ahead of next season.
“It will be great when we do but it’s still to do. It [avoiding the Champions League qualifying round] takes the pressure off the holidays and in the preparations,” he said.
Wenger has also been quoted by the Daily Star suggesting that Arsenal should have won the match yesterday.
The Arsenal boss feels his side had the best of the game and were unlucky not to walk away with all three points.
“We were not totally in there but in the second-half we dominated completely. Unfortunately we couldn't score a second goal but the chances were there,” said Wenger.
The Daily Mirror has reported that Arsenal have been relegated to pot two in the Champions League ahead of next season.
The Gunners join Real Madrid and Manchester United in the second group of teams based on current league positions.
It leaves the club open to playing the likes of Bayern Munich, Barcelona, PSG and Juventus in the group stage next season.
