A young Tottenham Hotspur midfielder is now looking ahead to a new campaign at White Hart Lane following his loan spell.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed an outstanding campaign, scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists to prove he is ready for a chance back at White Hart Lane.
The attacking midfielder would have been hoping to play one more game this season; but that was not to be as Brentford missed the chance of contesting this season’s Championship play-off final when they lost 5-1 on aggregate to Middlesbrough.
Writing on the social media site on Monday, Pritchard said, “Gutted we came so close but it just wasn’t to be; another chapter awaits.”
That chapter is back at Tottenham, where the attacking midfielder will be hoping to impress manager Mauricio Pochettino and earn a first-team call-up in the process.
Pritchard has only featured once for Tottenham’s senior side to date, but after the season he has had many fans are excited to see what he can do in the Premier League.
In many ways Pritchard will be like a new signing for Spurs, and he will be looking to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Harry Kane, Ryan Mason and Nabil Bentaleb and become a regular in the side.
I want thank all the fans, players and staff for what has been a great season at Brentford. I'm grateful to have been apart of it....— Alex pritchard (@pritch_93) May 18, 2015
