West Ham United striker Carlton Cole’s sarcastic reply to a Tottenham Hotspur fan on Twitter

West Ham United striker Carlton Cole does not hold back when made fun of by a Tottenham Hotspur supporter.

West Ham United striker Carlton Cole has hit back at a Tottenham Hotspur fan on social networking site Twitter.

Cole was inundated with messages of support and well-wishes from Hammers supporters today.

One particular Tottenham fan tried to be a bit cheeky and hinted that that 31-year-old is not a good player, to which the former Chelsea striker gave a rather sarcastic reply.

Cole, who has been on the books of West Ham since 2006, will become a free agent in the summer transfer window when his current contract with the London outfit runs out.

With no new deal in place yet, one suspects that the Englishman will be released by the Hammers at the end of the season.

Cole has scored two goals and created seven chances in 22 Premier League appearances this season.

The former Chelsea striker has a pass accuracy of 56% and a shot accuracy of 50%, and he has won 50 headers, four dribbles and three tackles.

Last season Cole scored six goals and created eight chances in 26 league matches, while having a pass accuracy of 57% and a shot accuracy of 53%.

West Ham are currently 11th in the Premier League table with 47 points from 37 matches and could still finish in the top 10.

Meanwhile, Tottenham find themselves sixth in the league standings at the moment with 61 points from 37 games.
