Stunning CGI? Check. Mr Witcher 3 - Geralt of Rivia- himself? Check. Fair maiden that turns into a ghost/witch/vampire that's rather difficult to kill? Check, check, check!

The launch cinematic for CD Projekt RED's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt landed a few days ago, and whether you're looking forward to the game or not, it's definitely worth checking out.

The new trailer runs for just under 5 minutes and sees Geralt facing off against what many online say is an 'alp', which is a type of higher vampire. She starts off looking like an attractive flame-haired beauty, only to then turn invisible and lose her fairer features all together. Enjoy the stunning cinematic below.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt launches in just a few days, on Tuesday 19th May, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

We're expecting to get a review of The Witcher 3 out within a couple of weeks after release, but for now you can see our review roundup from other publications over here.
