Leeds United are interested in signing Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths.
Celtic's Leigh Griffiths has emerged as a transfer target for Championship side Leeds United, report The Sun.
The striker has bagged a total of 19 goals in 40 appearances in all competitions this season, including 13 in 23 Scottish Premiership games.
Leeds are said to be lining up an offer of £1 million and are determined to get their man.
They report states that they feel they have a chance of persuading him to join them as they can offer an increase in salary.
Griffiths began the season with a battle to play his way into the Celtic side, on the fringes as loanee John Guidetti got off to a prolific start.
But as the Swedish loanee faded, Griffiths has got better and better as the season has gone on, playing a key role in their league title triumph and Scottish League Cup win.
Griffiths has experience playing in England with Wolves, from who he joined Celtic 18 months ago. He has a contract at the club until 2017.
Leeds were linked earlier this year with a move for his Celtic teammate Anthony Stokes, as reported The Scotsman.
