Memphis Depay will officially join Manchester United from PSV in the summer transfer window.

Manchester United-bound Memphis Depay has taken to social networking site Twitter to reveal his excitement at winning the Golden Boot award in the Eredivisie this season.

The 21-year-old finished the 2014-15 season with 22 goals to his name, two more than his PSV teammate Luuk de Jong.

It is a huge achievement for the youngster, especially as he plays as a winger and is not always in a position to score (although he has the freedom to drift in and play as a ‘forward’)

The tally also underlines his massive improvement this season. Prior to the 2014-15 campaign, the Netherlands international had scored only 17 times in his three previous Eredivisie campaigns.

After wining the Golden boot award, Depay posted the following picture on Twitter.

Depay, who will join United in the summer transfer window, has created 60 chances in 30 Eredivisie appearances this season, while having a pass accuracy of 75% and a shot accuracy of 47%.

The highly-rated Dutch youngster has won eight headers, 80 dribbles and 20 tackles.
