On Saturday, it was the Hull player who came out on top when it came to passing accuracy, successful with 93 per cent of his efforts compared with Bentaleb’s 87 per cent.
The Tottenham player also lost possession on more occasions than his rival, who also won more tackles, more duels and made more effective clearances.
However, the Tottenham youngster did come out on top when it came to aerial battles, interceptions and ball recoveries.
Eight years Huddlestone’s junior, Bentaleb has plenty of time to work on his game, and while he was outshone in some key areas by the older player this weekend, it was Tottenham who came away with the victory.
