Andy Cole singles out the man who 'terrorised' Arsenal's defence on Twitter

The former Manchester United striker was reflecting on his ex-side's Premier League clash with the Gunners.

Manchester United icon Andrew Cole was full of praise for Ashley Young on Twitter during their Premier League clash with Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

Cole took to Twitter before half-time, when Manchester United had taken the lead against the north London side thanks to an Ander Herrera opener.

But it was Young who impressed Cole against Arsenal, with the ex-United striker suggesting he 'terrorised' the Gunners' defence.

The 43-year-old declared his delight with his display on social media and also championed his case for an England call-up.

England will be in action in June and Roy Hodgson will be selecting his Three Lions squad soon. There are probably few cases of a player in such form being overlooked quite like Young.

In a different position, Ryan Bertrand and Aaron Cresswell can certainly feel hard done by, although Young's exclusion is more of a surprise as he seems to fill Hodgson's invisible criteria of playing for a 'big' club in Manchester United.

His performance against Arsenal is definitely a timely one, though, and could do him a few favours with regards to any England call-up.
