Already-relegated QPR bounced back from last weekend’s 6-0 defeat to Manchester City away from home at the Etihad Stadium with a 2-1 win against Newcastle at Loftus Road.
Emmanuel Riviere put the Magpies in the lead midway through the first half, but Rangers scored twice in the space of seven minutes after the break.
Matt Phillips headed home the equaliser from Charlie Austin's cross in the 54th minute, and Leroy Fer smashed in a superb winner from 25 yards just past the hour mark.
Rangers were brilliant in the second period and deservedly picked up all three points, leading the club’s former winger Sinclair to sing the praises of Chris Ramsey’s side.
QPR’s final game of the season is against Leicester City away from home at the King Power Stadium next Sunday.
