Tottenham round-up: Early team news and Italian midfielder Jacopo Sala linked

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur take on Hull City later today with Mauricio Pochettino’s side still playing for a Europa League place and Steve Bruce’s men desperate to pull clear of the bottom three.

With just two games remaining for both sides, three points today is vital for very different reasons.

In early team news, the BBC reports that Tottenham will be without the suspended Vlad Chiriches and the ill Emmanuel Adebayor.

Ben Davies and Kyle Walker are both out for the season but there is better news regarding Danny Rose, who is back to full fitness.

In other news, Sportmediaset reports that Tottenham are among the clubs interested in signing Hellas Verona midfielder Jacopo Sala.

The 23-year-old has featured 30 times for his current club but with his current contract expiring next summer he is being tipped to move on for a fee in the close-season.

There is no doubt Tottenham need to strengthen their central midfield but that should be with experienced players rather than even more young prospects.
