Tottenham ended their run of three games without a win by beating Hull City 2-0 this afternoon.
Tottenham Hotspur won for the first time in almost a month by beating struggling Hull City 2-0 at White Hart Lane this afternoon.
After losing 3-0 to Stoke City last week, Mauricio Pochettino's side needed a response today, and managed to clinch all three points in their final home game this season.
Hull were the better side in the first half, exploiting some gaps in the Tottenham defence, with striker Nikica Jelavic hitting the crossbar as Hull went close to an opener.
Yet after the break, Tottenham improved, and finally got the opening goal after 54 minutes, with Nacer Chadli latching onto a through ball from Erik Lamela, rounding the goalkeeper before tapping the ball into the empty net.
Hull continued to push forward but couldn't find an equaliser, with Danny Rose ending the game as a contest by volleying home Christian Eriksen's lobbed pass.
The result leaves Hull two points adrift of safety with just one game to play, whilst Tottenham stay in sixth place after today's win.
With a trip to Everton still to come for Spurs, Pochettino will be hoping to end his firs season as Tottenham manager with another win after today's success.
