The former Spurs midfielder has reportedly been suspended by Hull following testing positive for cocaine.
As Tottenham prepare to face Hull today in their final home game of the season, a number of familiar faces will return to White Hart Lane as part of the travelling contingent.
However, despite the potential presence of Michael Dawson and Tom Huddlestone, one former Spurs man will not be making an appearance.
With the Tigers struggling to maintain their top-tier status, the midfielder’s actions are a kick in the teeth for his team-mates and the club.
The 25-year-old came through the youth ranks at the North London club before being sold to Hull last summer after a successful campaign on loan.
Livermore has started 35 of Hull’s Premier League games this season but will not play a part in their last two games, which will determine whether they are relegated or stay in the top flight.
Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to the news of Livermore’s actions, with a mix of humour, disappointment and disbelief.
Here are the best tweets from the White Hart Lane faithful following Livermore’s news.
