Norwich have booked their place in the final with a 4-2 aggregate victory over Ipswich Town in the semi-finals.
Having drawn the first leg of the tie 1-1 away from home at Portman Road last weekend, the Canaries got the better of Mick McCarthy’s side 3-1 at home this afternoon.
Norwich took the lead five minutes into the second half, when Christophe Berra was sent off for handling Nathan Redmond's shot and Wes Hoolahan scored from the penalty spot.
Tommy Smith equalised for Ipswich on the hour mark, but Redmond made it 2-1 to the home team just minutes later and Cameron Jerome wrapped up the victory in the 76th minute.
Following the match, lifelong Norwich fan and English comedian Fry took to Twitter to revel in the triumph.
Such a sea of yellow-clad joy-filled lovers of this great club. Utter transcendent rapturous joy cannot be expressed in 140 characters #OTBC— Stephen Fry (@stephenfry) May 16, 2015
Norwich will face Middlesbrough in the final of the Championship playoffs at London’s Wembley Stadium.
