Southampton hammered Aston Villa 6-1 at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League today.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s comprehensive victory over Aston Villa at home this afternoon.

The Saints returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 6-1 hammering of Villa at St. Mary’s Stadium.

The star of the show for Southampton was Senegal international winger Sadio Mane, who scored a hat-trick in the opening 16 minutes.

Shane Long found the target twice in the first half, and Graziano Pelle volleyed home the sixth goal for the home side nine minutes from full time.

Following the win, Southampton boss Koeman made the following post on Twitter:

Southampton are currently sixth in the Premier League table with 60 points from 37 matches.

The Saints still have a good chance of making it to the Europa League next season. Their final game of the season is against former Premier League champions Manchester City away from home at the Etihad Stadium.
