Southampton attacker Sadio Mane made history on Saturday, as he scored the fastest ever Premier League hat-trick.
The Senegalese international broke Robbie Fowler's 21-year-old record in an astonishing 3-minute spell, seizing on a rebound, before capitalising on an error from Ron Vlaar and then side footing expertly past Shay Given.
Mane had put Southampton 3-0 up with goals in the 13th, 14th and 16th minute, before the Saints went on to score three more to leave Tim Sherwood shaking his head at what was an astonishing 6-1 defeat.
Below we look at Mane's statistics from what was truly a record breaking game:
|Position||Team||Goals||Total Scoring Att||Goal Assist||Touches||Duel Won||Won Contest||Was Fouled||Accurate Pass||Appearances||Mins Played|
Mane was a constant menace to the Aston Villa defence, playing from a number of attacking positions. And he was particularly dangerous as he used his pace to expose Vlaar and Jonas Okore.
The 23-year-old's three goals came from four attempts, while he also set up Graziano Pelle's goal with a superb cross.
The former Red Bull Salzburg player's performance was unsurprisingly full of other interesting highlights, making more accurate passes than any other Southampton players, as well as beating more players, winning more ground duels and being fouled more times.
Nathaniel Clyne had more touches than Mane, but it was clear that there was only one player that would be grabbing the headlines after the result.
