With Tottenham’s season come off the rails in recent weeks and months, there hasn’t been much excitement at White Hart Lane.
The thoughts of the loyal fans are already straying to next season, as this campaign has dwindled to a somewhat predictable underwhelming finish.
Europa League football is not what the club had hoped for before the season started, but there are some hopes that Mauricio Pochettino can guide the side to the top four next season following a summer in the transfer market.
The North London club have today revealed their new home strip for next season, with the supporters taking to social media to express their thoughts on the design.
For the first time in the team’s history, the kit has a ‘sash’ across the strip, with a diagonal blue stripe across the shirt.
Most of the Tottenham fanbase has expressed that they like the design of the strip given that it is something different, however some fans have called out for an old-style simple all-white kit.
Here are the best tweets from the Spurs fans.
In all honesty I'm not that bothered about the new kit, I'm more concerned with those that are wearing it, they wear it with pride. #THFC— Ricky Sacks (@GlobalSpur) May 15, 2015
Would it be too much to ask to have a classic white home kit? Guess so. Shit looks like a boy scout uniform. #THFC— Styles T (@MeCrazyMatt) May 15, 2015
The best thing about Spurs' new home kit is the crest. I'm thankful that Under Armour managed to not screw that up. #thfc— Ryan Patrick (@RPCOYS) May 15, 2015
I'm actually loving our new kit tbh— Travis (@Travis_THFC) May 15, 2015
I do like the simple and traditionally green Goalkeeper kit. I do hope Hugo is still wearing it this time next year as well. #COYS— Steve (@Steve_THFC) May 15, 2015
@Shelbie_THFC I hate it, but the more we win in it, the more I'll grow to love it. Hopefully the away kit will look better.— G Mc (@garymcmh1) May 15, 2015
@spurredontv RED on a SPURS kit once again. Better than current season's kit with the yellow gone, still disappointing though.— OK (@oguz_thfc) May 15, 2015
Don’t like the new kit! What happened to just white! And why aren’t fans consulted on possible designs?!— GaB (@THFC_GaB) May 15, 2015
