A selection of the latest stories in the media involving Tottenham Hotspur this Friday evening.
Tottenham goalkeeper Brad Friedel has insisted that Harry Kane will not be leaving the club in the summer despite reports linking him with a move to Manchester United, with the Daily Mail among those to suggest that Louis van Gaal's side are pondering a £45 million approach for the England international.
Kane has been in terrific form this season, with the 21-year-old picking up the PFA Young Player of the Year Award after scoring 30 goals in all competitions - 20 of them in the Premier League.
Friedel, who yesterday announced that he will be retiring from professional football at the end of the current campaign, told TalkSport: “I wouldn’t want him to leave Tottenham just yet. He’s signed a contract extension already. I just cannot see Tottenham selling Harry Kane."
This weekend's game sees Spurs host relegation battlers Hull City at White Hart Lane, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side looking to bounce back from a disappointing run of form that has seen them take just the one point from their last three games.
Christian Eriksen is determined for the side to respond positively after their most recent defeat - a 3-0 loss to Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium last weekend.
The Danish midfielder is quoted by the Tottenham website as saying: “We want to finish the season really strongly and hopefully we’ll do that – especially in Saturday’s game at the Lane.
"We haven’t always done it in every home match this season, we’ve had some off games, but hopefully we’ll finish well in front of our own fans."
