The summer signing from Montpellier has played just 10 Premier League games this season.
Of course there are plenty of those to go around. The one in question however is Benjamin Stambouli.
Spurs snapped up the defensive midfielder last summer for a fee reported by the Mirror to be in the £6 million region from Montpellier.
Stambouli has however struggled to establish himself at White Hart Lane. He has only managed ten Premier League games for the club, with the majority of his 23 games for the club coming in the domestic cup competitions and the Europa League.
In those games he has failed to impress on a consistent basis so it is no surprise if he does make an exit from White Hart Lane this summer.
RMC report that the French giants Marseille are indeed in the market for Stambouli. Marcelo Bielsa is looking for more recruits after the club came up short this season in Ligue 1.
Tottenham have plenty of central midfield options. the likes of Ryan Mason, Nabil Bentaleb, Mousa Dembele, Paulinho and Etienne Capoue who can also play in the heart of midfield.
But at 24-years-old, Stambouli could still come good at White Hart Lane. They should not be so hasty to let him go, despite reservations over his ability.
He deserves another year to prove his worth.
