The New Zealand international has been suffering with a hamstring strain.

West Ham United have recently been utilising Reece Burke at centre-back because of injury problems at the back.

James Tomkins has been suffering with a dislocated shoulder recently and Winston Reid also has a hamstring problem.

The 18-year-old has played in the Hammers last three games, and performed reasonably well, but he may be back on the bench now.

It has been reported yesterday that New Zealander Reid, who recently signed a long-term deal to remain at Upton Park, has recovered from his hamstring injury.

He was also snapped in action. The official West Ham Twitter account shared this picture last night of Reid in action in the pouring rain in training yesterday.

The usual starter will no doubt be looking to slot straight back into the first-team for the weekend game with Everton.

The news will also come as music to the ears of Hull City fans. They will hope he can help keep Newcastle at bay on the final day of the season, if they can take the relegation fight to the 38th game.
