Tony Pulis is keen on signing the Crystal Palace midfielder for West Bromwich Albion.
Ledley, formerly of Cardiff and Celtic, moved to Selhurst Park last January, when Pulis was head coach of the Eagles. The Welsh coach is a keen admirer of his kinsman, and the internationally capped midfielder has proven himself in the Premier League since his arrival.
He has made 48 appearances for Palace since signing, and this term he has missed just five Premier League games across the entire season.
However, Alan Pardew has favoured a midfield of Mile Jedinak and James McArthur since his appointment as head coach, and Ledley’s potential availably in the summer transfer window has Pulis showing an interest in his former employee.
Pulis is set to enjoy his first pre-season at the Hawthorns this summer, and he is keen on revamping the squad he inherited this season. The midfield positions are loaded with reliable players, although there are few outstanding talents available.
Ledley is being targeted due to his impressive passing ability, whilst he also has an impressive goalscoring record for a midfielder.
Pulis is clearly keen on the midfielder, and although a consistent selection at Palace with guaranteed playing time, Pardew may just be willing to sell Ledley should an appropriate offer be made for his services.
