Report: Tottenham scouting Vinko Soldo ahead of planned summer move

Tottenham are scouting the young centre-back, along with AC Milan.

According to a report on TMW, Tottenham and AC Milan are scouting 17-year-old centre-back Vinko Soldo, ahead of a potential summer transfer.

Soldo currently turns out for Dinamo Zagreb, and is a regular fixture in their youth sides. Due to his age he has yet to turn out for their senior team, but the youngster is considered a real talent in his homeland.

An Under-17 international for Croatia, Soldo is currently turning out at the UEFA European Under-17 Championship, where he has played every game in the group stage so far.

Croatia have won two and drawn one of their three fixtures, topping their group ahead of Spain, and qualifying for a knock-out tie with Belgium to be played tomorrow.

Most impressively, Croatia have yet to concede a goal in the tournament, with Soldo playing all three games - starting two, and then being substituted on in the last one.

With Soldo playing, Croatia have now gone six games without conceding a goal, having last seen a team score against them in February 2015, during an international friendly with Ireland.

The report states that Spurs have been impressed with Soldo’s performances, and have been scouting him at the tournament, as he has held his nation keep up their impressive clean sheet record.

It is expected that the Lilywhites will make a summer move for Soldo, and it is probable that he will be signed as a youth player, to feature in Under-18 and Under-21 teams for the foreseeable future.
