Newcastle have reportedly agreed a deal with Sandro Ramirez, although Tottenham still want him.
The deal is said to be a season-long loan, which will allowed the Spanish Under-21 international the chance to develop in a top level league with consistent football to his name.
Sandro, still only 19, has made 12 appearances for Barca’s senior team, scoring four goals, although he has featured predominately for the B team this season, due to the effectiveness of Luis Suarez, Neymar and Lionel Messi.
He netted against Ajax in the Champions League, and in two La Liga victories, but Barca are keen to send him away from the club next season so as to not stall his development.
However, whilst the Gazette report states the deal is already ‘tied up’ to take him to Newcastle, the Daily Mail claim that Stoke and Tottenham are still keen on signing him this summer.
They are both also interested in a loan deal for Sandro, but it appears as if the only chance they have of beating Newcastle to the forward is if the Magpies are relegated to the Championship, with Barca only willing to send him to a top flight team.
