Crystal Palace are interested in signing Papiss Cisse from Newcastle United, according to the Northern Echo.
Palace are on the hunt for attacking additions this summer and feel that Cisse could enhance their forward line considerably.
Alan Pardew is in charge at Selhurst Park and is a man that knows all about Cisse's quality having worked with him at St James’ Park.
Although the Senegalese frontman has struggled with niggling knocks this season, that has not put Palace off and they are said to believe that his finishing ability would significantly increase their threat in the final third.
Cisse has been able to play just 21 times this term, through a combination of injuries and suspension, but he still leads Newcastle's scoring charts with 11 goals and if he could post similar figures at Palace, he would be a worthwhile addition.
Pardew's chances of securing a reunion with Cisse are not entirely dependent on what they do, though.
The Magpies are allegedly willing to sell Cisse, but they are only happy to do so if they can bring in a replacement.
Newcastle are reportedly looking to snap up Charlie Austin from Queens Park Rangers, and only if they get that deal over the line will they listen to offers for Cisse.
